Program Assistant – Inner City Law Center – Los Angeles, CA

Position Description:

Inner City Law Center seeks a Program Assistant to provide executive assistant support to ICLC’s Chief Counsel and other program personnel as assigned. The Program Assistant’s focus will be on creating, improving and maintaining ICLC’s intra-office systems and procedures while providing programmatic support. The Program Assistant will collaborate with ICLC’s administrative personnel and vendors as needed.

The program assistant will be responsible for managing the Chief Counsel’s schedule, preparing written materials, entering, maintaining and extracting data on ICLC’s case management system, light programming on the case management system, assisting with the development and implementation of office systems and procedures, assisting with front desk operations, coordinating hiring and interviewing activities, providing support to the grant proposal process, and generally assisting ICLC’s Chief Counsel with a variety of projects and functions for the purpose of achieving goals, meeting deadlines, and ensuring efficient operations.

Hiring Criteria:

Commitment to ICLC’s mission and values. Able to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Outstanding attention to detail and highly organized. Strong computer skills, including internet, Outlook, Word, Publisher and Excel. Knowledge of Time Matters or similar case management system and light case management programming ability a plus. Demonstrated ability to organize large amounts of data, and able to establish schedules and performance indicators. Ability to work well with all levels of personnel. Innovative and solution-oriented with experience developing and implementing systems. Ability to assume responsibility quickly, detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to meet deadlines, and ability to exercise sound independent judgment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or four years’ equivalent experience.
