Description:

The Senior Administrative Assistant/Writer will be responsible for a range of important written communications and will provide essential administrative support for the Vice President of Planned Giving & Endowments. The right candidate thinks strategically and is self-motivated and ready to learn about fundraising and planned giving in a collaborative environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Coordinate and assist with fundraising activities including events, donor relations, interdepartmental communications, and external marketing.

Plan and prepare for internal and external meetings.

Develop and compose letters, memos, reports, and other written communications.

Manage and maintain database, donor lists, donor correspondence, meeting notes, and calendars.

Engage donors as appropriate.

Organize and prepare for committee meetings with lay leaders.

Assemble mailings and track donor responses.

Process, prepare, and track gift paperwork.

General administrative duties such as maintaining departmental attendance, answering departmental hotline and general e-mail, and updating policies and procedure manual.

Various projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree required
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite; comfortable working with various databases
Positive work ethic and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and writing skills necessary
Ability to follow systems and procedures while also exhibiting creative thinking
Detail-oriented and effective time manager, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding work environment
