The Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany, Inc. (Claims Conference), an international non-profit organization headquartered in New York, was established in 1951 to negotiate a program of indemnification for material damages to Jewish individuals and to the Jewish people caused by Germany through the Holocaust. This respected organization administers several major programs for the benefit of Holocaust survivors worldwide and actively negotiates with the German government.
Claims Conference is currently seeking a Program Assistant for our Allocations department. Program Assistants are responsible for providing administrative and programmatic support to assigned Program Officers and Program Managers.
Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing grant reports and payment requests as to ensure accuracy and providing support for an online reporting system;
Responding to standard agency inquiries;
Providing support to assigned Program Officer, in the context of the grant portfolio work
Compiling data for reports to funding sources;
Researching community and other agency resources; and
Completing other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and one to three years of relevant experience preferred. Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree will be considered;
Excellent computer skills, particularly strong experience with Excel functions, are required;
Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
Must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize data.
