Support Services Coordinator – Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line – Norristown, PA

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line (IHN) provides a caring and positive environment for homeless families while they design and implement a plan to break the cycle of homelessness in their lives. Using area congregations and the energy of several hundred community volunteers, IHN is dedicated to helping families who seek to be accountable, resilient, and strive for a better tomorrow.

The Support Services Coordinator will provide:

Case management and supportive services to four or five families at a time

Conduct screening, intake, orientation, and needs assessment for new families
Work with families to find employment and housing
Provide referrals and resources related to family needs
Facilitate life skills and other educational workshops for parents

Support to the volunteers

Assist with the preparation and facilitation of meetings and orientations
Prepare monthly e-newsletter and other communications

Project, event and administrative support

Assist with the coordination of annual giving campaign and fundraiser
Facilitate the collection and management of data
Maintain evaluation systems
Develop reports
Process invoices
Perform clerical work

Other duties

Other duties as they relate to case management, volunteer support and administrative support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field
Minimum of 1 year case management experience
Administrative/office experience
Experience supporting volunteers
Knowledge of government benefits and community resources
Strong computer skills including database management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and function as part of a team
Strong organizational skills
Presentation skills
An attention to detail
Exceptional customer service skills
