DESCRIPTION: The intern will help the ICI digitalize their many archives and collections for their website and internal records through photography, scanning, data entry and blog work. Special focus will be given to a section of the Institute’s Ephemera Kabinett in line with the intern’s interests. The intern will also create small pamphlets highlighting different aspects of the collection over the course of the internship. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to increase their knowledge of cataloging and issues surrounding the digitalization of archives.
REQUIREMENTS: This will be an intense internship requiring up to 20 hours per week. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, and maintain focus through repetitive tasks. Experience with digital imaging and processing, as well as strong writing skills are a must. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Filemaker Pro, is desirable but not required. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is open-minded and interested in exploring the potentialities of online archives.
