Level Up Village (LUV) delivers pioneering Global STEAM (STEM + Arts) enrichment courses that promote design thinking and one-to-one collaboration on real-world problems between K-9 students in the U.S. and partner students in developing countries. Launched in 2012, LUV runs courses during school, after-school and in the summer at more than 100 U.S. schools in 15 states, with over 30 Global Partner organizations in 23 countries. We’re looking for someone who believes in this mission and wants to make a real impact in the education space by joining a fast paced, quickly growing organization. As a Business Development Officer, you will be working directly with one of the LUV co-founders and our Experience Designer to market our programs in the US.

Job description:

Responsible for presenting LUV programs to key personnel at public and private schools across the US through phone calls, skypes, individual meetings, and group presentations.
Move prospects through sales defined sales cycle
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at schools
Deliver professional sales presentations, both face-to-face and virtually
Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by developing new business
Maintain timely and accurate reporting of the pipeline, account plans, and territory management activities
Attend conferences around the US and execute outreach strategy specific to conference attendees
Liaise with Director of PR

To be successful in this position, you’ll need to:

Be able to thrive in a fast-moving, rapidly-changing work environment.
Have demonstrated successful Sales or Account Executive performance for 3-5 years.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have excellent presentation and public speaking ability.
Must be driven by results and a fervent interest in learning and education
Must have very good business acumen and the ability to create long-term relationships
Must have either experience in the education market and/or a passion for education and be able to speak with knowledge about various cutting edge educational philosophies
