DESCRIPTION
The Words Alive Teen Services programs serves approximately 200 at-risk adolescents each month within the Juvenile Community Court School (JCCS) system through our Adolescent Book Group (ABG) program.

The ABG provides monthly/bi-monthly book discussions and writing opportunities in the classroom as part of the language arts program. The supporting curriculum guides are designed to ignite good conversation, promote participation and open opportunities for self/world exploration.

We are looking for volunteers to be part of a curriculum committee dedicated to elevating our curriculum through the process of researching potential young adult literature, vetting books, and creating more comprehensive guides for the ABG volunteers and teachers.

Volunteers should be at least 18 years of age, can work remotely, and should expect to put in 15-20 hours a month (reading the book and writing curriculum). We are flexible with scheduling and can accommodate vacations/school etc.
