Digital / Social Media Manager – OBERLAND – New York, NY

Digital Strategy

· Monitor accounts on a daily basis and ensure messaging is timely and relevant.

· Create strategic briefs, content strategies and campaign initiatives, evergreen & always on projects and ensure they are on brand and message.

· Research relevant trends, competitor programs to develop content and competitive audits.

· Proactively communicate strategic opportunities, insights and challenges to the team.

Editorial Content Planning

· Develops the roll out plan for all content across digital and social media platforms.

· Work with media teams to traffic and plan paid spend across all relevant channels.

· Maintain the social media calendar on a daily basis.

· Identify and evaluate existing content and recommend options for sourcing new content.

· Develop and monitor the publishing of calendar content to appropriate channels as scheduled and ensure that all social content is delivered on time.

· Provide ongoing editorial support for all social media activity including proactively suggesting daily content ideas and leveraging trends to keep client material relevant.

· Monitor the community management process, distribution and publishing of content and provide recommendations to build audience participation and increase traffic.

Analytics/Trends

· Report on the ongoing effectiveness and success of online initiatives (based on available analytics).

· Create weekly/monthly reports on posts performance.

· Recommend/advise on point of market entry for messaging and any new innovations in the client’s industry.

• BA or BS required with 3-5 years experience in managing social media platforms, media trafficking, and strategic digital planning.

• Strong skills with: MS Office, MailChimp, EventBrite, Hootsuite, FB Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics, WordPress, AdSpresso,

• Strong analytical/quantitative, organizational and time management skills and strong research skills (primary and secondary)

• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, identify and resolve problems.

• Attention to detail and emphasis on strict quality control to ensure integrity of work.

• Ability to clearly and effectively articulate and communicate thoughts/ideas in a timely and persuasive manner.

• Exceptional communication skills, written and oral ability to perform well in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple deadline-driven projects.

• Must be flexible and solution-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

• Public relations, agency, and community management experience.

• Web research, content aggregation and dissemination savvy.

• Strong interest/desire to learn and growth in the digital space.

• Familiarity with business uses for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tumblr, Pinterest, etc.

• Adobe Suite and video editing experience a plus.
