Immediate Opening for Entry Level Social Service Case Manger
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mercer County is a premier mentoring agency that provides Mercer County Youth with professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships. We are seeking a case manager to support a caseload of “matches” between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles), ages 6 through 14. This position has the primary responsibility of monitoring match relationships and checking in with all parties on a regular basis to maintain the highest child safety standards and to help promote long standing, impactful relationships.
Continually assesses the match relationship focusing on: child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction
Assesses and provides information and support needs for each match participant to assure a positive youth development experience for the child, and successful and satisfying experience for the volunteer
Ensuring quality services and measurable outcomes, maintaining accurate and timely records for each match.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (or related field) required
The candidate selected for this position must successfully pass a background check
Proficiency in technical areas such as Microsoft Office
Excellent oral and written communication skills reflecting solid customer service both in-person and via the telephone
Ability to relate effectively and sensitively well in cross-cultural situations
Must have own transportation
Ability to use time effectively, focus on details, adapt to shifting priorities, and position and promote opportunities as well as work independently or in a group setting
Ability to effectively collaborate with other staff and community partners
Frequent evening work will be required as part of this position

As a Case Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters you will be responsible for:
Conducting volunteer and child enrollment including individual, parent/child orientations interviews and completion of any other enrollment processes.
Providing match support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, and constructive and satisfying relationships
Continually assessing the match relationship focusing on:child safety, match development, positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction
Ensuring quality services and measurable outcomces and maintaining accurate and timely records for each match
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
