Position Description

Sharp Insight, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Evaluation Associate to work directly with non-profit and public sector clients on a range of evaluation and performance measurement projects. Assignments might include literature reviews, evaluation plan development, instrument design, stakeholder interviews, statistical analysis, qualitative data analysis, data visualization, and evaluation reporting. The ideal candidate would be knowledgeable and passionate about the field of evaluation, specifically in the non-profit, public health, and/or education sectors.

Given that many assignments would be completed remotely, the Evaluation Associate would be a self-starter and a highly responsive communicator. Additionally, as Sharp Insight works with multiple clients at once, the candidate would be able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects. Finally, as Sharp Insight is a young and growing firm, commitment, flexibility, and a sense of humor are desirable traits!

Requirements & Preferred Skills

Master’s degree required; PhD or advanced degree candidates preferred
Related educational background (e.g. public health, public administration, education, statistics)
At least five years of educational and/or work experience with evaluation and performance measurement, such as developing and/or implementing evaluation plans, tools, and protocols
Ability to run and interpret basic statistical analyses
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong computing skills (e.g. Word, Excel, Statistical Software)
Spanish language skills preferred

Authorizations

Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will not now or in the future require employer sponsorship for employment authorization. A background check will be completed prior to hiring.
Location & Compensation

The primary worksite would be offsite/remote. However, regular meetings and events would be held in the greater Washington, DC area. Employees must be able to provide their own transportation to local client sites. Depending on the project, conference calls as well as Skype or Google + meetings may be scheduled. Travel outside of the DC region may be needed on an occasional basis. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
