International Arts & Artists (IA&A) seeks an experienced Graphic Designer to design deliverables from conception to execution. Applicants should be committed to our mission to promote the arts and cross-cultural exchange on a local, national, and international level.
The designer provides high quality graphic design materials for both IA&A’s own program areas (see website www.artsandartists.org) as well as for external clients (partner organizations and individuals). The designer will also build and manage a team of other design professionals. This position requires proven experience. To gain an appreciation of the level of design work needed, carefully review the Design Studio section on our website. Applicants must commit to a minimum of one-year’s employment.
Designer’s primary responsibilities will be to design and/or oversee the design of:
• Books
• Catalogs and Publications
• Regular e-mailers
• Social media graphics and banners
• Exhibition labels and panel design
• Brochures
• Branding and brand image
• Website
Key Requirements:
• B.A. in Graphic Design or in a related field combined with additional experience
• One to three years professional design experience
• Ability to conceptualize a cohesive, sophisticated design theme for lengthy publications
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with in-house design work and brand consistency
• Familiarity with print design and publishing practices
• Independent worker who takes initiative
• Works effectively with others, across disciplines, to achieve team objectives
• Proficient in handling several projects simultaneously and on time
• A strong understanding of International Arts & Artists’ business and mission
• Website design and management, WordPress and/or HMTL, and marketing Personal and sick leave, national holidays and health insurance benefits.
