The Yeshiva of Greater Washington- Tiferes Gedaliah (YGW) is looking for an IT Manager who has an outgoing personality with exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills and who can succeed in our fast-paced and friendly office environment.
YGW is an orthodox Jewish middle school, high school and college program on two campuses in Silver Spring and has been serving the Greater Washington community for over 50 years.
The IT Manager is responsible for the efficient operations of the organization’s databases in addition to the IT hardware and software on both campuses.
Areas or responsibility include supporting and training staff, managing key databases, and maintaining the institution’s IT network and website infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interact with staff on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provide answers in a timely manner
Maintain educational support hardware including but not limited to projectors, AV, and interactive technologies
Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the IT network including the servers, filters, wired and wireless networks
Oversee systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery
Maintain the IT infrastructure of the school’s website
In conjunction with key staff, manage the functional operations of all organization databases (currently Donor Perfect, PowerSchool, and QuickBooks)
In coordination with the faculty, identify and introduce technology that enriches our students’ learning experience
Develop tools to enhance data automation
Train staff on organizational technology and software
Manage the company’s telephone system, Access Control System and their vendors

3 – 5 years of network management and database management;
Experience with supporting Microsoft Office, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 server and Exchange Server.
Outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to communicate effectively
Driven, detail oriented and organized
Ability to effectively prioritize
Must be comfortable with and respectful of the values in an orthodox Jewish environment;
Experience with PowerSchool/other educational software and Smoothwall/other internet filtering software preferred
Experience supporting Donor Perfect and QuickBooks a plus
