The Massachusetts National Organization of Women is a multi-issue organization working to achieve equality for men and women. Our six priority issue areas include: 1. Economic Equality, 2.Reproductive Rights, 3. Racial Justice, 4. LGBTQ Issues, 5. Ending Violence Against Women, 6. Ensuring Civil Rights for Everyone. We are looking for a part-time media and communications intern for the summer.

Responsibilities include:

Running Mass NOW’s social media campaign, i.e. Facebook and Twitter
Designing and sending out Action Alerts to our supporters
Updating our website with current information and campaigns
Writing and sending out our bi-weekly newsletter
Working with staff and fellow interns to determine the tone and audience of our media campaign

Successful candidates will have:

A strong interest in women’s issues and social justice
A history of activism and passion for Mass. NOW’s issue areas.
Social media know-how and skills (Facebook/Twitter obsession encouraged!)
Excellent writing and communication skills
