MISSION:
Founded in 1996, The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation keeps music alive in our schools by donating musical instruments to under-funded music programs, giving youngsters the many benefits of music education, helping them to be better students and inspiring creativity and expression through playing music.
General Summary of Position:
The Michael Kamen Grant is our sole program addressing instrumental music program needs at under-funded schools serving low-income students. The Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation (MHOF) works nationwide to give access and opportunities to students who would otherwise not be able to play and learn music in school. The Program Administrative Assistant will primarily be responsible for providing heavy administrative support to the Program department, fulfilling all aspects of program operations, communications and program delivery.
Requirements
Minimum three consecutive years experience in administrative support and typing speed of 50+ wpm.
Strong computer literacy with demonstrated experience in utilization of databases, Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Dropbox.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks (long term and short term), meet deadlines, and ensure high quality work. Time management skills a must.

Duties
Include record keeping, maintaining databases, daily oral/written communication with schools, arranging program appointments/meetings, provide administrative assistance to the Executive staff and answer phones.
Hours And Benefits
Hours: Exempt- 40 hours per week. Work outside normal business hours is rare but flexibility is expected
