Program Associate for Network Programs – Center for New York City Neighborhoods

The Center for NYC Neighborhoods (the Center) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote and protect affordable and sustainable homeownership in New York. The Center’s Network Programs team funds, trains, coordinates and supports a network of more than 30 nonprofits that provide advice and assistance to New York City homeowners. Network Programs oversees approximately $11m in annual grant funding to support network services focusing on foreclosure prevention and neighborhood stabilization and provides training, technical assistance, and other support to organizations to build capacity across the network. The Center also manages several homeowner support programs that rely on the Center’s network, including a statewide hotline and a loan fund, in partnership with the NY State Office of the Attorney General.

Center grant funding allows neighborhood and legal organizations (“Network Partners”) to assist homeowners with foreclosure prevention services, access to grants and low-cost loans, and Hurricane Sandy recovery services. Network Partners have assisted thousands of homeowners and obtained millions in loans and grants for New York families, allowing thousands to keep their homes and remain in their communities.

The Center is dedicated to ensuring that struggling homeowners have access to available free assistance and resources that allow residents to remain a part of the communities they build. As such, the Center prides itself in having a supportive office environment with talented staff dedicated to the Center’s mission and willing to work together and individually to reach our collective goal of preserving affordable and sustainable communities in New York.
