The Tiny Miracles Foundation (TTMF), located in Darien, CT, is a local nonprofit organization which provides comprehensive support and assistance to families of premature infants in the greater Fairfield County, Connecticut area, is seeking applications for the position of Program and Office Coordinator. TTMF provides vital support services to families facing the crisis of premature birth through programs and services at four Fairfield County hospitals, as well as to the preemie community at large through its office in Darien, Connecticut. TTMF seeks a part-time employee to serve as a general office and program coordinator. The position entails the coordination of programs, the coordination of volunteers and the coordination of office duties. This is position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Critical to the success of TTMF is a robust, committed, and well-trained group of volunteers. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the program coordinators, and the volunteers who are critical to program delivery. He/she will be a key player in nurturing the many external partnerships that have been developed since our inception.
Office coordination duties include office supplies and inventory controls and oversight, mail processing, basic daily bank deposits, administrative support for fundraisers, and general office administrative needs.
Requirements:
Highly organized, multitasking individual with extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in administrative and program coordination in a nonprofit organization and/or health care agency of similar or larger size.
Experience with volunteer program coordination and volunteer cultivation.
Experience in an office support role.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
Proficient in using technology as a management tool; experience working with technology to develop and implement program evaluation systems.
Knowledge of or ability to learn Constant Contact.
Minimum Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience in an office support/coordination role.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated respect and understanding of why support for parents of children with special needs is valuable and necessary.
Ability to provide compassion and interact well with families in crisis.
Encouraging, positive and warm personality a must!
Hours to be determined. Initially starting at 25 hours a week, Monday through Friday, for work hours between 9am-3pm. Salary based on levellexicon-tip.gif of experience. Flexible vacation package offered. More information about The Tiny Miracles Foundation may be found at: www.ttmf.org.
