Summary of Position: The Program Manager will assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of NCPC communications activities and programs. The individual selected must be a team player who will work collaboratively with NCPC programs, communications, public education, community outreach, research, grant writing, finance, and trademark control staff.
Essential Duties:
Lead efforts to develop outreach plans for programs and campaigns to include identifying media outlets, organizational outlets, and audiences to promote awareness and usage of the materials
Write, edit, and contribute content for internal and external materials, publications, and media-related documents
Actively participate in brand promotion and campaign ideation, development and execution; personally lead these efforts or support the efforts of the Senior Director, as appropriate
Design and implement a marketing plan for NCPC training initiatives: public and private

Oversee the development and implementation of various program materials
Develop and maintain campaign and program-related content for the NCPC website
Recognize and act upon potential opportunities with organizations, corporate partners, and others to support NCPC public education campaigns, programs, publications, and other strategic initiatives.
Conduct outreach to organizations to lay the foundation for new partnerships; develop new project proposals, as required
Prepare progress reports on ongoing programs and projects
Assist in the supervision of staff and interns
Perform other duties as necessary
Champion internal communications such as newsletters, CEO messages, and a variety of supporting communications for use within NCPC
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in related field desired or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum five years of experience working in the field of communications, external relations, etc.
Demonstrated success managing others, include conducting performance evaluations
Proven ability to manage work plans, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Experience in managing and tracking budget expenditures and staying within budget
Experience in long-range planning and budgeting
Effective oral and written communication skills, including editing
Demonstrated ability to both develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and/or training for other staff members and diverse groups of stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Structured, critical thinking skills and the ability to make and defend decisions
Brand savvy and consumer sensitivity
Strong work ethic and project management skills, with superior attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Resourceful problem-solving skills
