ArtForceIowa seeks to hire a StreetCred Studios Program Manager . StreetCred Studios is a social enterprise and multimedia studio that hires young people, ages 16 to 24 with criminal backgrounds. While employed at StreetCred Studios, these young people receive training in workforce readiness, screen-printing, videography, and photography. Youth are involved in every element of the enterprise, from prospecting sales to delivering the final product. This initiative has been made possible through multiple grants, most recently the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines’ Ignite Innovation grant.

ArtForceIowa seeks a business-minded program manager with a builder-spirit. The foundation is laid for this program to succeed, but the right person is needed to bring it to life. The following tasks will be principal in the first year of operation

Program Development. Work with Executive Director and Program Director to develop a training paradigm to instruct participants in workforce readiness, production, and business skills (especially sales).

Sales Development. Seek out and finalize initial sales for the studio to ensure the shop meets sales and production goals.

Training. Prepare for, and lead weekly trainings for 3-5 young people, ages 16 to 24. Trainings will consist of:

Workforce Readiness Skills (attitudes, job applications, interviews, etc)

Screen-print production (design, screen prep, printing, shop cleanliness, etc)

Business skills (sales, follow up, invoicing, etc)

Production Supervision. Supervise employees, ensure quality product, and timely delivery, as well as respond quickly and effectively to needs within the production atmosphere.

Reporting. As direct supervisor of young employees, assure that required hours of training are being achieved, and that processes set in place are followed in order to meet programmatic and business goals of the enterprise.

Experience: We will consider all candidates that possess 5 of the 6 requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in commercial screen-printing

Experience training and/or teaching youth and/or young adults

Bachelor degree

Drivers License required

Basic working knowledge of Adobe graphic design programs (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)

Basic working knowledge of video production, including sound, lighting, and non-linear video-editing software.

Position details:

Salary: COE – $32,000 to $38,000.

Pay: 40 hours/week, full time, exempt
