Senior Director of Prevention Programs – Inwood House – New York, NY

Inwood House, a 185 year old child welfare and youth development organization is looking for an experienced, detailed oriented, and enthusiastic candidate to serve as the Senior Director for Prevention Programs. The Senior Director of Prevention Programs is responsible for the oversight and overall operations of all Inwood House Prevention programs by supervising the Program Manager of Service Learning and OST Programs, Program Manager of Teen Choice-CAPP and the Project Director of Teen Choice-PREP Evaluation Project. He/she will provide guidance, resources and support to senior Prevention staff and ensure fidelity to Prevention program models. He/she will ensure that all Prevention program goals are reached within each program cycle. He/she will be responsible for the ongoing development of Prevention programming, partnering with other organizations and funders to ensure the sustainable growth of the Prevention portfolio.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Provide on-going supervision for Program Manager of Service Learning and OST Programs, Program Manager of Teen Choice and Project Director of Teen Choice-PREP Evaluation Project;
Ensure Prevention programs are in compliance with federal, state, and city policies including NYCDOE, NYCDYCD, and NYSDOH;
Ensure Prevention programs follow IH Human Resource polices and protocols pertaining to recruitment and retention of staff and implementation of programs;
Ensure all Prevention programs are implemented with fidelity. Conduct regular site visits of programs;
Maintain ongoing communication and collaboration with PREP partners including Mathematica Policy Research and New York State Department of Health; provide clinical supervision to BSW/MSW Prevention-Teen Choice staff;
Provide field instruction to graduate social work interns as needed; oversee hiring and ongoing professional development of Prevention program staff;
Oversee curriculum and project development within Prevention programs; oversee development of annual program plans for Prevention program funders; in collaboration with IH Fiscal, oversee development of Prevention Department budget, program specific budgets and budget modifications;
In collaboration with IH Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team, ensure cross-departmental collaboration of Prevention programs and projects that promote the organizational mission and goals;
Oversee development and timely submission of Prevention department program reports for funders.

Minimum Requirements: MSW/LMSW/LCSW with a minimum of 5 years of post Masters clinical and supervisory experience, and a demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development and sexual health education; SIFI Certification is preferred; Candidate should have experience with individual and group therapy, family therapy, and a commitment to working with adolescents and their families; Ability to conduct clinical supervision, training and on-going workshops; ability to plan events; Must be a strong communicator and have the ability to motivate others.
