SUMMARY

The Snow Leopard Trust (SLT) is a non-profit organization based in Seattle whose mission is to save the endangered snow leopard in the wild through a balanced approach that addresses the needs of local people and the environment. Through community-based programs overseas that benefit wildlife and people, SLT works to secure the long-term survival of the species.

To help meet this goal and inspire thousands of more supporters worldwide, SLT is seeking a self-directed and team-oriented individual to design and code stunning new layouts, interactions, infographics, and information design for our website, shop, email, social media, and other digital communications. This is a unique opportunity to set a fresh course and vision, and have a tremendous impact on the organization and cause.

This is a part-time position which reports to our Technology Director, and is based in Seattle, WA, USA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/BACKGROUND

Strong visual design skills: latest trends, layout, color and typography
Strong interaction design skills: wireframing, prototyping
Visual communications skills: ability to translate complex information into graphics
Experience with UX design for websites, email and landing pages
Experience coding with CSS, Javascript/jQuery, PHP
Experience with WordPress themes and customizations
Adept with modern design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

Experience with photo and video production
Experience with motion graphics and animation
Familiarity with online shopping platforms such as Zen Cart
Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp
Print layout skills a plus
