Introduction
Good Neighbors USA (GNUSA) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, international humanitarian and development NGO in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECOSOC). GNUSA raises funds for and plans and implements the provision of services in the areas of child education, community development, health, sanitation and disaster relief projects in over 35 developing countries.
Position
The person in this position will design and maintain websites and other social media platforms for GNUSA. Our ideal candidate will be well-rounded and resourceful, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates great design skills.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: The primary functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
3+ years of production-quality web design experience working on content-rich websites, print and media
Must possess strong knowledge of web design and print principles
Candidate must possess a strong command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, SEO and various web-related optimization techniques
Proficient in a broad range of design, code and presentation tools including the latest versions of Adobe Flash, HTML5. Illustrator, Photoshop, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, InDesign
Proficient in working with interactive multimedia applications (Flash, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Illustrator)
Proficient in managing and maintaining blogs and discussion forums
Proficient in integration of website with social media outlets and best practices for leveraging social media
Experience with capturing image photography and video for use on websites and in corporate collateral
Experience creating videos, webinars, podcasts, and other multimedia rich collateral
Experience in production of professional brochures, whitepapers and case studies
Ability to design and develop for mobile platforms strongly desired
Plus for Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premier media designers
