POSITION TITLE: Web Developer/Programmer
SALARY: $55K-$65K
POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the Web Developer/Programmer will be responsible for modifying programs on the back and of the foundation’s existing websites and administering database applications. S/he will also be responsible for providing employees with IT help and various IT projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, and will have a strong background in IT support and application building.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide program and database management for the foundation’s websites.
Delivers and documents web applications including written implementation, test, and back-out plan.
Assist team in design, development and maintenance of foundation’s websites.
Develop SharePoint workflow apps.
Provide one on one assistance and training for foundation staff in the effective use of software.
Plan effectively to minimize disruptions to normal IT operations due to equipment failures.
Insure adequate maintenance of all IT equipment, including personal computers and printers.
Routinely carry out daily maintenance of existing sites and applications.
Ensure personnel safety in the workplace by completing all required safety training and sharing that knowledge with the foundation’s staff.
Continuously communicates with a variety of staff each day regarding IT projects and issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
2-3 years of experience in web development and programming.
Experience in building web apps with model view controller (MVC) pattern strongly preferred.
Working knowledge in SharePoint, C#, MVC, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, and Entity Framework.
Strong demonstrated interest in HTML and CSS.
Must be customer service focused with a positive and people-centered approach.
Superior oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to travel to the Western suburbs approximately once a week.
