Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund empowers Latino families with the knowledge and resources to successfully complete a higher education, while providing scholarships and support services to as many exceptional Hispanic American students as possible. The Webmaster will be reporting to our Chief Digital Officer. This individual will be responsible for implementing the various aspects of online marketing for the Organization. This includes developing, maintaining, and updating HSF’s websites, programming new pages for online marketing projects, running e-Marketing campaigns, building and maintaining email lists, and exploring new memberships to expand the Organization’s visibility. This role supports the creation of landing pages and mass mailers, handles web updates from the marketing team, and assists with the support site and troubleshooting.
General Duties
Maintenance
Maintain all websites
Ensure that the sites along with the pages attached to them are in working order
Review each site and mark out the changes required
Assess each site’s performance on a regular basis
Security
Monitor the level of security at each site and update, as needed
Ensure that the sites are user friendly and easy to navigate
Make sure that sites are secured and the user data they may incorporate is safeguarded
Content
Check originality of the websites and ensure that the content is not duplicated on other platforms
Analyze the site layouts and structures, HTML coding, and navigation systems for optimizing the content to enhance the visibility of the websites
Keep abreast of new technologies and software to develop the online presence and success of the sites
Additional Responsibilities
Know the sites’ requirements and analyze each, accordingly, to propose suitable changes
Plan future modifications for the sites
Possess an agile development methodology

Critical Attributes
1-2 years of experience as a web developer or webmaster, including experience with systems analysis and design

Strong proficiency in[[http:ASP.NET|ASP.NET]], HTML 5, CSS3, and JavaScript libraries (JQuery, Moo Tools, Scriptaculous, etc.)
Experience with security safeguarding, Apache server configuration and management
Working knowledge of graphic production (e.g. Photoshop) and realted tools
Preferred
BA or BS in Computer Science from an accredited University
