The Addiction Services Supervisor is responsible for delivery of Trauma-Informed, Addiction health services to the Addiction Services Program, which consists of patients of the Behavioral Health, Social Services, Primary Care, Urgent Care and OB/GYN Departments.
DUTIES:
The Supervisor will process all referrals for addictions services from the Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Urgent Care, Teen Clinic, Home Care and PACE providers
Assist in developing policies and procedures for the operations of the services under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health
Maintain compliance with all regulations for treatment of outpatient addictions services
Maintain compliance with documentation, record keeping, managed care and all applicable Behavioral health policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the delivery of services fit within the UCHC Medical Home model of care
Provide psychosocial assessments and therapy to a caseload of patients for individual, couples, family and/or group therapy
Provide crisis intervention and information about community resources and services to UCHC clients referred by PCP and Behavioral Health
Create systems for updating information on addictions services, providing education, resources and treatment materials on addictions for patients and staff within the UCHC campus and departments
Supervise Addiction Services clinician, licensed drug/alcohol counselor and work to integrate services with the collective treatment team in Behavioral Health and the center as a whole
As part of community outreach, the Addiction Services Supervisor investigates and develops community contacts and cooperative networks with referral agencies, social service organizations, and community associations as necessary to develop programs that meet the needs of patients and the community
Participate in Addiction Program Services team meetings in order to provide care as a functioning team with all involved clinicians and employees in the health center
Assist in providing referrals, tracking and follow -through for addiction services evaluations
Participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement projects, through developing and implementing projects, involving staff in their role in the projects and compiling the required reports
Make referrals, as indicated, to other UCHC departments as well as to collateral agencies
Provide consultation and collaboration with collateral agencies
Maintain and complete in a timely manner all appropriate paperwork and documentation in compliance with the Addiction Services Program and Behavioral Health Department policy and procedures, including use of the EHR and use of ICD 10 /DSM 5 coding
Flexibility for schedule to include one evening per week and one Saturday per month, as needed
Perform additional duties of the Addiction Services Program and Behavioral Health Department as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with certification in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Current LICSW or LMHC license
Experienced clinician with a minimum of 2 years working in a multicultural community setting
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and experience providing substance abuse outpatient treatment
Minority candidate strongly encouraged to apply
Working knowledge of common computer programs
Experience supervising staff is desirable
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
