Seeking committed, energetic, dedicated and dynamic applicants who are interested in working with youth as a Program Lead in a Sausalito charter school’s after-school program.
The Position:
We are currently recruiting Program Leads for our comprehensive after-school program at Willow Creek Academy, a distinguished K-8 charter school in Sausalito. Program Lead is a key leadership position, and the applicant would be in charge of a specific age group – Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3-5th grades, and 6-8th grades. Program Leads would be in charge of organizing and implementing fun, educational, and developmental activities for their age group, as well as work with the team to ensure safety and security of every After-School Explorer. This position is part-time in the afternoons, from approximately 1:30-6pm M-F, with possibility of flexible hours/days.
Hourly rate is $14.50- $16, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
-Bring a “spark” to your group and to the program in general – what unique attributes or interests could you share with children?
-Plan, coordinate and implement fun, safe and age-appropriate activities for specified age group
-Supervise Youth Leaders in daily activities
-Ensure the safety and security of each child in group
-Communicate effectively with parents and school staff related to student needs and other aspects of students
-Collaborate with other team members on ideas, projects, lesson plans
Qualifications:
-Experience working with youth strongly preferred
-Experience working in a group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school aged children (applicable volunteer experience may be considered)
-Experience coordinating activities and services, preferably for youth and families
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Highly collaborative
-Must pass TB and Fingerprint Clearance prior to working at WCA
-Valid CPR and First Aid within the first 30 days of hire
Schedule:
After-School Explorers operates concurrently with the school day, meaning every day school is in session, Explorers is offered.
Hours: Approximately 1:30-6 pm M-F.
Pay range: $14.50- $16 / hour, depending on experience.
