Job description
High school summer program is looking for an AlgebraII and/or Pre-calculus Instructorat UC Santa Barbara from June 21st through July 24th.
AlgebraII and/or Pre-Calculus Instructor:
Responsible for developing objectives, lesson plans and syllabus for respective course, utilizing content standards and mathematical practice standards as outlined in the California Common Core State Standards. As a member of the TELACU Education Foundation – Upward Bound, Summer Instructional Component team, facilitate a creative hands-on course to be delivered during the five weeks of academic instruction, involving collaborative learning, and project-based and/or inquiry-based teaching methods. Conduct ongoing evaluation of each student, indicating students’ progress, academic strengths and areas requiring further development. Attend weekly instructor meetings, hold weekly office hours and develop a positive and supportive relationship with participating students.
