High school summer program is looking for Chemistry and/or Physics Instructor at UC Santa Barbara from June 21st through July 24th.

Chemistry and/or Physics Instructor:

Responsible for developing objectives, lesson plans and syllabus for an Introduction to respective course, utilizing standards as outlined in the California Common Core State Standards. As a member of the TELACU Education Foundation – Upward Bound, Summer Instructional Component team, facilitate a creative hands-on course to be delivered during the five weeks of academic instruction, involving collaborative learning, and project-based and/or inquiry-based teaching methods. Conduct ongoing evaluation of each student, indicating students’ progress, academic strengths and areas requiring further development. Attend weekly instructor meetings, hold weekly office hours and develop a positive and supportive relationship with participating students.
