Supports the Annual Fund program through implementation of gift solicitations from the organization’s various constituents including trustees, alumni, artists, friends and corporations. Provides primary support for development through database and donor record management, gift entry, and online donor communication for the benefit of Pilchuck Glass School’s administrative office. This full-time time position includes health insurance, long-term disability insurance, retirement plan, sick pay and vacation.
Responsibilities
Annual Fund:
Supports the Director of Development and individual giving campaigns including research, solicitation, recognition, and donor stewardship to help achieve annual giving goals.
Coordinates annual direct mail appeals including helping to create solicitation materials; determine prospect pools; coordination with vendors and mail house; and analyzing and reporting on annual appeal goals and results.
Coordinate special annual campaigns such as the GiveBIG campaign through Seattle Foundation.
Support donor stewardship and recognition programs, including donor cultivation and recognition events.
Help strengthen alumni relations and grow alumni donor program.
Work with Marketing and Communications Coordinator to ensure timely annual fund updates through various print and social media including: newsletters, website, Facebook, email blasts.
Database:
Serves as the primary Raiser’s Edge database user for a range of organizational needs including queries, coordinating database training for staff, documenting policies, procedures and maintaining a working manual.
Maintains database donor records including entering donor profiles, contacts, address changes, and other donor information.
Processes donations (by mail, phone and on-line), pledges and event reservations into database. Prepares periodic reconciliation reports for Finance Department.
Prepares donor communications including acknowledgment letters, pledge billings, completing matching gift company forms, year-end statements, and event receipts.
Responsible for event reservations, confirmations, and payments including campus and other events, recognition events, and the annual art auction. Works closely with Events team and volunteers to prepare registration materials and ensure a smooth registration process at events.
Serves as liaison with online giving vendor.
Other:
Answers main phone line and responds to phone and web based and email inquiries on a timely basis.
Undertake other duties as assigned.
Desirable Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or other donor database program.
BA/BS degree with development experience managing annual fund campaigns.
Pro-active problem-solving skills, flexible approach to carrying out responsibilities, and a sense of humor.
A self-starter and team player with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines.
Ability to communicate well with a broad range of individuals through strong verbal and writing skills.
Ability to be discrete in managing confidential information.
