Development Associate – Iridescent – San Francisco, CA

Development Associate

Preferably based in San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Iridescent background:

Iridescent is a team of engineers, scientists, anthropologists, and educators who believe children need to be curious, creative, and persistent to succeed in life. We believe that acquiring a strong base in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) is the door out of a life of poverty. Our primary focus is helping underserved children and their families gain education, skills, and training to succeed as scientists, inventors, and entrepreneurs. Our programs develop the curiosity to ask, the courage to plunge, and the persistence to achieve. We work with scientists and engineers to communicate their knowledge and passion to children using hands-on design projects. Over the past 7 years, we have worked with 400+ scientists and engineers and reached 16,000+ children and parents in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are seeking an exceptional leader who is motivated by our mission and who will bring a strong sense of possibility and focus to our efforts. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of achievement and a vision for helping Iridescent expand its funding base and serve more learners through our unique program offerings. The Development Associate, in collaboration with the CEO and COO, will plan and execute a diverse funding approach and will closely collaborate with other Iridescent program staff.
