Zeno is seeking an Early Learning Math Specialist to develop and grow our MathWays for Early Learning Program to further our mission of building children’s confidence and competence in math. We serve communities with high economic needs with programs that span early learning through early elementary school. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a team experiencing an exciting period of growth.

Early Learning Coach Role:
Training and Coaching: Provides math game training and professional learning sessions for pre-k teachers, home visitors, facilitators, and family advocates.
Community Engagement: Participates and facilitates family focus groups and family education. Plans and facilitates Family Math Parties at partner programs.
Team Member: Collaborates with the Zeno Programs team members (team of 6) to support program development and implement feedback. Work in an action-oriented atmosphere that encourages process development, an agile product development cycle, and an environment where team members feel free to try new ideas.
Relationships Cultivation: Maintains relationships with current partner schools and community organizations. Supports open communication with teachers, program coordinators, and directors of partner programs. Schedules day-to-day activities and events with partner programs.
Evaluation and Data Collection: Supports measurement and evaluation of the program, including conducting family focus groups, teacher interviews, and collecting survey data.

Skills and Qualifications:
Personal passion for inspiring kids to succeed in math and closing the opportunity gap
Experience working with underserved communities or with organizations with a social justice focus
At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education and/or related field
Flexible, positive outlook with a desire to incorporate feedback to learn and grow
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Experience increasing family engagement efforts (desired)
Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, Learning Pathways in Numeracy, or other early learning math standards (desired)
Curriculum Development (desired)

Compensation and Benefits:
Full time exempt position. Office is in Seattle’s Central District, but there would be travel requirements to partners around the south Seattle area. Salary range is between $40,000 and $50,000. Benefits include flexible work schedule and unlimited paid time off. Health and savings benefits are in the midst of being established. Anticipated start date is September 1st (flexible).
