High school summer program is looking for an English Composition and Language, and/or an English Composition and Literature at UC Santa Barbara from June 21st through July 24th.

English Composition and Language and/or Literature Instructor:

Responsible for developing objectives, lesson plans and syllabus for respective course, utilizing English Language and Literature standards as outlined in the California Common Core State Standards. As a member of the TELACU Education Foundation – Upward Bound, Summer Instructional Component team, develop a creative hands-on course to be delivered during the five weeks of academic instruction, focused on the study of diverse texts centered on a theme that exposes students to critical issues of the 21st century. Conduct ongoing evaluation of each student, indicating students’ progress, academic strengths and areas requiring further development. Attend weekly instructor meetings, hold weekly office hours and develop a positive and supportive relationship with participating students.
