Sustainability Organization Seeking Resourceful & Enthusiastic Educator

1to1 Movement provides innovative environmental education programs through experiential learning models. Our organizational objective is to inspire a new generation of environmental ethic through a positive, inclusive, and accessible approach.

We are seeking an Environmental Education Program Manager to oversee various components of organizational programming, from presenting in-class educational curricula to managing large partnerships in efforts of maintaining and growing educational scope and capacity.

A successful applicant will:

Understand the nonprofit sector, and be able to handle various organizational responsibilities regarding program management, reporting, and partnerships, while serving as an educator.
Be an educator/teacher with a background in the environmental/ecological sciences and seasoned in providing a purposefully engaging, inquiry based approach in both indoor and outdoor classroom settings.
Be passionate about sparking an interest in the natural sciences and motivating youth from underserved communities to be active environmental stewards.
Easily build rapport with students, and be able to mentor young assistant educators.

Additional Requirements:

Reliable transportaion to visit various schools throughout the county

Needed:

A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required. Applicants must be able to work flexible weekend and possibly some evening schedules. Background checks required.
