Position Objective:
Leadership of a staff team for a forward-looking, local nonprofit providing programming and residential services for adults with developmental disabilities in three group homes.
Areas of Accountability:
The Executive Director/Administrator is responsible for overall operations, budget oversight, and asset protection.
Responsibilities:
Oversees all accounting functions including those necessary for budgeting, financial analysis, property management, and payroll.
Handles or delegates all aspects of human resources management including but not limited to hiring and termination, developing position descriptions, setting compensation, and applying board-approved employee policies and benefits in accordance with federal, state and municipal requirements.
Interacts with other organizations, such as local, county, and state governments, professional associations, and local vendors.
Assists in the development of current and long-term organizational goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures for operations.
Establishes plans to achieve the goals set by the board of directors and implements policies, subject to approval by the board.
Reports to: United Friends Group Homes Board of Directors
Position Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree desirable
Proven management and leadership skills with a strong background in social services
Ability to meet state requirements for licensing
Strong accounting and financial planning background
