Harbor, Inc. is Johnston County’s private, non-profit organization that provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Harbor, located 35 minutes from downtown Raleigh, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Executive Director (ED). The ED is responsible for overall operations of the organization, which includes a 14 bed shelter (expanding to 32 beds in 2016), 24 hour crisis services, 2 upscale resale stores, and additional victim support programs. The ideal candidate must have a commitment to help victims and their families plus a working knowledge of nonprofit fiscal management, grant writing, people management, strategic planning, and solid fundraising/development skills. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills are required along with the ability to effectively work with community leaders and professionally represent the organization throughout the county and state. A minimum of five years of clinical and/or human services supervisory experience is required. Previous experience working with DV and/or SA victims’ programs is desired; crisis intervention experience is desired.
