Grant Writer – Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy – San Francisco, CA

Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE) is a fast growing national network of 400 local chambers of commerce focused on clean energy. We work at the national level and in a handful of states. See www.chambersforinnovation.com.

CICE is looking for a grant writer with fundraising experience. This person would have significant grant writing experience and understands the importance of communicating impact, metrics, deliverables, outcomes and crafting strategic objectives.

This grant writer position will be responsible for:

Drafting and bringing to completion all grant proposals for a $1.2M organization. This person will work with each of the program leads and our Deputy Director to draft the proposals and bring them to completion.
Completing grant reports.
Working with the Deputy Director to research foundations and create/submit and follow-up on at least 10 LOIs for unrestricted general support.
Working with the Deputy Director to develop and create fundraising systems such as grant trackers, funder updates, a system to capture all outcomes throughout the year, thank-you notes to funders, and more.

We are looking for a flexible team player with a positive attitude and willing to create the systems needed to move our fundraising efforts to the next level.

Requirements:

College Degree
5+ years professional grant writing experience
5+ years experience developing grant tracking systems, researching foundations and creating other fundraising systems
Clean energy experience a plus
Experience as a grantee evaluator a plus

This is a flexible position based in San Francisco. This can be a one-year part-time or full-time contractor position with the possibility of growing this into a full-time staff position.
