Grant Writer / Contract Administrator – Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County, NJ – Washington, NJ

DESCRIPTION: Responsible for identifying, writing, and submitting all grant applications and administration of contracts.

DUTIES:

Supervisory

This is not a supervisory position.

Administration

Determines, with the Finance Director and Executive Director, the annual grant needs and prepares an overall strategy to meet those needs.
Identifies, researches, and evaluates prospective government, private foundation, corporate, and individual grant sources.
Prepares grant applications and oversight administration specifically for DCF, DOW, VOCA, VAWA, IOLTA, Warren County Department of Human Services, United Way, FEMA to name a few.
Develops and writes all appropriate grant applications.
Inputs all corresponding information into agency database.
Utilizing the strategic plan, works with the Finance Manager and Executive Director to develop a 5 year plan to meet the funding needs of the agency.
Builds, cultivates, and maintains relationships with current and prospective funding agencies.
Responds to Request For Proposals (RFPs) and compiles analyses and trends of statistical data for narrative evaluations of proposals.
Works with the Executive Director and Clinical Director to evaluate the effectiveness of all programs
Attends all staff meetings.
Act consistently with agency’s philosophy and expectations.
Help identify and support fundraising activities as appropriate.
Performs all other related duties as required.
Attend community and state technical assistance as needed.
Interface with other agencies and network.
Represent the agency and participate in speaking engagements as needed.
Support agency events through your attendance as appropriate.

Support agency events through your attendance as apprMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree (BS) in the field of social services or related field and at least two years experience in successful grant writing. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) the issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Completion of sixty (60) hours of victim crisis intervention training to be completed in the first six (6) months of employment.
