The Art of Yoga Project (AYP) seeks a qualified member to join our team as a Grant Writer / Development Manager This position is responsible for managing the grant writing process, and participating in donor recognition activities. Responsibilities include assisting with:
Grant Process Management
Maintain overall grant application and reporting schedule
Gather necessary data and information for funding applications and reports
Write, assemble, and submit letters of inquiry, grant applications, grant acknowledgements, and reports
Ensure applications and reports are accurate, impactful, and submitted on time
Donor Recognition
Input, track, update, and maintain constituent and gift records to ensure high level of data integrity
Produce acknowledgement letters and other routine communications including new donor packets and ambassador/events follow-up
Generate reports and donor data for staff members as requested
Support Fundraising activities as needed
You are a creative person with great writing skills and clever ideas for innovative ways to attract and engage donors. You have both great ideas and the ability to make them happen and feel a strong connection to AYP’s mission. You are a team player, and at the same time someone who can work independently, with a minimum of supervision.
Candidates should possess:
Excellent oral and written communication skills, resourceful and creative.
Demonstrated results-oriented human relations skills
Ability to draft solicitation letters, grant requests, and sincere and thoughtful acknowledgement letters.
Ability to plan, organize and manage a wide range of projects to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree
PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with eTapestry, Box, WordPress a plus
This position reports directly to the Executive Director. It is based at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits – Redwood Shores, 330 Twin Dolphin Dr, Suite 131, Redwood City CA 94065.
