Health Educator – National Psoriasis Foundation – Portland, OR

A national, nonprofit patient advocacy organization located in Portland, Ore. seeks a team player to provide customer service and health information to patients via phone, e-mail and written correspondence. The Health Educator responsibilities include assisting patients from across the country with disease and treatment questions; referring patients to both internal and external resources to meet patient needs and interests; inputting information into patient contact database; providing daily coordination of both internet-based and printed educational tools and resources; and coordinating educational materials for community based events and local volunteer-led activities.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with concentration in health education/promotion, public health, or community health, with 2+ years related work experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, good attention to detail and multi-tasking skills are also necessary. Experience working with volunteers a plus.
