High School Admissions Coordinator – French American International School – San Francisco, CA

French-American International School is seeking a High School Admissions Coordinator. This is a full-time position reporting to the Dean of Admission. The successful candidate will join an experienced, dynamic team and will be quickly assimilated in all aspects of independent school Admissions’ culture.

Ability to work with a minimum of supervision to prioritize and carry-out tasks
Ability to write and edit well
Effective customer service skills and professional demeanor, consistent with outstanding service
Excellent computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Internet research tools. Willingness to learn how to interface with PCR, (our online Application tool) and the school’s database infrastructure
Ability to manage confidential information
Must enjoy teenagers, high school ambiance and have a sense of humor
Must exhibit international/multicultural mindedness

Major Responsibilities Include:

Responding to phone inquiries regarding admission procedures, events, and visits to the high school. Ensuring clear communication concerning admission activities to prospective families, placement counselors, and administration throughout the admission process.
Performing administrative tasks: monitoring office priorities and deadlines; managing daily office routine and procedures; planning, preparing, and distributing memos, correspondence, marketing materials; coordinating and maintaining general admissions calendar. Providing other administrative and office support as needed.
Entering student information into database
Coordinating student ambassador and student visit program under the guidance of the Associate Director of Admission. Greeting and guiding visitors to appropriate activities/information.
Assisting and participating in recruitment events: coordinating onsite and offsite events, presentations, and materials for prospective students, Open Houses, recruitment fairs, etc. Assisting in the coordination of volunteers and student participation. (Evening and weekend job assignments are occasionally necessary.
Collating and preparing applications for admission committee review. Scheduling meetings for admission committee members and preparing agendas, spreadsheets, comparative data, etc.
Coordinating enrollment documents and other decision letters, preparing mailings, monitoring and processing enrollment results.
Collaborating with our PK-8 Office of Admission to streamline various aspects of the admissions process.
