Elevate, a growing grant writing and nonprofit development strategy firm in Washington, DC, is excited to be hiring a Lead Grant Writer. This is a mid-level position, designed to ensure you will make meaningful contributions to the nonprofit community while you help our firm grow. To be considered for this position, you must have at least four full years of experience writing and submitting grants for a local nonprofit.

You’ll continue to develop the incredibly valuable skill of grant writing for nonprofits
You’ll help manage a small team of young grant writers
You’ll work closely with leadership at many different nonprofits in Washington, DC
You’ll strengthen your expertise about nonprofit fundraising and finances
Activities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assisting clients in designing grant programs and developing strategy
Creating, drafting, and editing proposals
Supervising Associates
Conducting on-site meetings and site visits with clients
Actively prospecting for potential clients and business opportunities
The Ideal Candidates Will:
Have 3-6 years grant writing experience
Be an excellent, intelligent writer, tech-savvy, organized, and incredibly detail-oriented
Thrive in flexible working conditions
Get excited by new opportunities and be willing to take initiative to ensure a project succeeds
Value good communication skills. Be willing to ask and respond to feedback as well as provide meaningful feedback to others
Want to help grow a young organization
