Learning Center Math Science Specialist
Full-Time Position
Beginning fall semester 2015
The College Preparatory School, an independent high school in Oakland, California, seeks a Learning Center Specialist in math and sciences beginning in the fall of 2015. We seek candidates who are interested in strengthening their student support skills. The duties of this position include: working with students individually and in small groups, overseeing and maintaining order in the Learning Center, working with mentor teachers, subbing for absent teachers, coordinating and driving shuttle vans to and from BART, meeting chaperone duties and assisting in community service and or other areas of school life as needed. The working hours will typically be from 7:30 to 3:30.

Qualifications:
Bachelors or graduate degree in Math, Physics or Chemistry
Experience in and passion for working with high school students
Strong organizational and communication skills
Patience, flexibility and a good sense of humor
