The Northwest Chinese Academy in SW Portland is seeking an English teacher for the 2015-2016 academic year. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic teacher who embraces student-centered education and is committed to providing a warm and nurturing environment for our students to learn.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Ø Commitment to student-centered, multicultural education
Ø Degree, teaching credentials or other relevant certifications from an accredited college or university in education/related field or relevant experience.
Ø Background in curriculum development as well as experience teaching in an English language program in the USA
Ø Ability to plan and implement creative, hands-on and engaging lessons
Ø Ability to be a cooperative player on a highly collaborative educational team
Ø Knowledge of evaluation and assessment of elementary school student progress
Ø Knowledgeable of effective use of technology in the classroom
