CCSA Families engages, trains, and supports families, teachers, and alumni to win local and regional campaigns that matter for school choice.
Job Description: CCSA is hiring a Manager, Alumni Organizing, Bay Area to run the California Charters Alumni Leadership Institute (CALI) in the Bay Area. The Manager, Alumni Organizing, Bay Area recruits, trains and manages charter school alumni with the goal of getting out the vote for pro-charter school board candidates in key Bay Area elections. The Manager, Alumni Organizing, Bay Area holds CALI alumni leaders accountable to ensure that CCSA Families meets our program and campaign goals.
The CALI program organizes charter school alumni to advocate for school choice. CALI alumni leaders engage and persuade voters to support charter-friendly candidates and policies.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Project Management
Recruit and develop 15-20 charter school alumni (CALI Alumni Leaders) to 1) engage voters in phone banking and canvassing operations for key Bay Area elections and to 2) build university-based charter school alumni teams
Develop, implement, and run a program on Bay Area-based university campuses for CALI alumni leaders and other charter school alumni to become politically involved in their communities
Develop and lead trainings to grow alumni into leaders in advocacy, campaigning, and organizing
Grow the database of charter-school alumni who can be called on for political action and advocacy
People Management
Provide weekly feedback and coaching to CALI Alumni Leaders during campaign cycle and to university-based CALI alumni leaders regarding organizing strategies and tactics
Collect and submit timesheets and monitor timely compensation of CALIs—including contracts, expense reimbursements, and human resources coordination
Electoral Work
Manage and oversee seamless coordination of all electoral field operations, including phone banking and canvassing, amongst CALI Alumni Leaders, CCSA staff, and volunteers
Use data management systems to monitor progress toward electoral field goals
Ensure that CALI alumni leaders and recruited volunteers arrive at training, phone banking, and canvassing operations on time and prepared to identify and persuade voters.

Nice To Haves:
+2 years professional work experience
Significant experience in community, labor, political or parent organizing
Campaigning, lobbying, training or relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Spanish speaking preferred
