DESCRIPTION
Temple Sinai Preschool is a play-based, Jewish preschool in Oakland. We are seeking a classroom teacher to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that supports children in positive play, building community, and developing a positive Jewish identity.

We are seeking teachers:
Positive, energetic, solution-oriented approach
Engage in reflective practice
Be observant and incorporate emergent interests of the children
Promote children’s growth, development, and learning using effective teaching strategies and reflective practice
Approach all interactions and work with the children through a child-centered lens
Actively engaged with children
Act as a coach/role model/active observer while with the children
Responsible for keeping up-to-date with all communication
Take an active role in teaching team, age group, and all-staff meetings
Interest and ability to work collaboratively
Maintain updated, documentation in the classroom and online, connecting the documentation to Jewish learning and values, developmental goals and skill-building
Demonstrate a strong knowledge of each individual child’s needs, goals, and a commitment to seeing and supporting each child

Physical Qualifications:
· Lift up to forty pounds
· Current health screening
· Demonstrate full range of motion

Ideal Candidate:
· B.A. required (ECE, MA Preferred) or Required 12 units of ECE classes
· Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
· Ability to work collaboratively
Flexible, supportive, and participatory member of the community
