Summary of Duties & Accountabilities:
Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects. The Program Director is responsible for creating operational objectives; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; and determining system improvements.
Primary Accountabilities & Essential Functions:
Responsible for scoping and implementing special projects and strategic initiatives.
Lead selected special projects that require cross-functional engagement with key staff across the organization, and with external partners, as appropriate, while supporting Senior Program Director in implementing education programs and products that meet the needs of core client segments.
Works in conjunction with executive management to pursue and achieve tactical or strategic objectives pertaining to various projects assisting in the execution of work necessary to meet short-term objectives as well.
Assist in funding proposals for organizational projects and initiatives including for grant purposes.
Proactively identify and engage individual experts, as well as informational resources, that can help frame and advance the organization’s work on key trends or emerging issues.
Develop and organize program sessions; identifying and securing top talent for such programs, develop innovative formats; and work closely with partner organizations on such programs.
Provide staff support to the Executive Vice President of Program Development and Data Management, for the convening of a range of meetings on short- or long-term projects. This may include undertaking research, tracking trends, preparing presentations; development of meeting agendas; drafting briefing papers and/or compiling pertinent background materials for attendees; preparing summaries of discussion; coordinating logistical arrangements; and ensuring appropriate and effective communications with participants, as needed.
Prepare background materials and develop proposed action strategies in support the organization’s efforts.
Assist in the development of designated program content, and the recruitment and support of speakers, for the organization’s webinars, summits, workshops, etc.
Assist in the development of the annual work plan.
