Temporary Program Manager – Job Description

Level: ADM III

The Stanford Graduate School of Business Career Management Center (CMC) seeks to hire a full-time Temporary Program Manager for the academic year starting August 17, 2015 until June 30, 2016.

The Program Manager will collaborate with CMC staff to design and produce high quality career education events, services and resources for GSB students and alumni. This position will provide an elevated service experience to GSB students and alumni and will be responsible for ensuring that they are connected to the appropriate internal and external resources. This role will organize and coordinate events, manage a high volume of student data entry, and complete daily administrative tasks and special projects as needed with both: 1) the Career Program & Strategic Initiatives teamwhich delivers career education programming to GSB students and provides program management support for cross-CMC operations; and 2) the Custom Career Services team which delivers career services for alumni and MSx and international students.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

Event support and coordination – e.g., scheduling meeting and workshops, reserving rooms, ordering supplies, printing name tags, event setup/staffing, attending events, general administrative support, etc.
Organize and support programs and resources to better support GSB student career management — e.g., update and maintain online resources, post to online learning platform, perform analysis of attendance or feedback
Event database management – e.g., survey development, data entry, tracking, reporting, etc.
General staff administrative support – e.g., running errands, copying, collating, scanning, filing, and special projects as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience
Superb customer service and organizational skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Excellent judgment and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and communication skills
Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using Google Calendar and Google Drive regularly
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills demonstrated by previous experience working for multiple managers, team members
A flexible and proactive attitude
Experience working in a professional setting

Familiarity with aspects of curriculum design, development, and delivery preferred
