Over 26 years in the community, we have built or acquired 13 properties in five Eastside cities, serving more than 1,200 low-income individuals. Our revenue comes from a healthy blend of rent, developer fees and philanthropic contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.

The Resident Services Supervisor for Imagine Housing will be based at Velocity Apartments in Kirkland, WA. The Resident Services Supervisor will supervise and support the Resident Services Coordinators. This position will be responsible for providing resource referrals, community events and classes, and after-school programming to youth at the property. At Velocity, the Resident Services Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with other local services providers as well as directly delivering supportive services to the residents. The Resident Services Supervisor will also organize and facilitate trainings, classes, community events, and youth activities. This position acts under the supervision of the Director of Supportive Services at Imagine Housing.

Position

Imagine Housing is hiring a full-time, salaried Resident Services Supervisor. This position will develop and implement programs that serve youth, adults and families at Velocity and oversee the resident services provided at other Imagine Housing properties. The main types of programming and services that this position will provide and supervise are as follows:

1) Youth Programming: The Resident Services Supervisor will plan and implement afterschool Homework Club and enriching activities for school-aged youth two times each week at Velocity. Homework Club offers youth the opportunity to have one-on-one assistance with homework assignments, reading and learning activities to address their particular areas of need. Enriching activities are provided as a time to engage youth in art, games and other activities that are of interest and benefit to them. The Resident Services Supervisor will also provide a variety of enriching activities during the summer. We focus on creating a safe, welcoming space, where youth have the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally and academically. These programs are structured around best practices recommended in the Youth and School-Aged Program Quality Assessments, which are nationally recognized, best practice models for youth programming.

2) Resource Referrals: The Resident Services Supervisor is responsible for becoming knowledgeable about community resources available to families and individuals that assist with their basic needs and help them achieve their goals. These can include things like providing bus tickets as needed, passing along information on rental and utility assistance and providing assistance in filling out applications for public benefits. The Resident Services Supervisor will make sure that all residents are aware of these services and feel welcome to ask for assistance when needed.

3) Community Events and Classes: Coordinate and facilitate monthly community events at Velocity. These activities can range from a community meal and bingo night to themed parties and festivals. They can also include trainings on resources or information beneficial to the residents. These events are a great place for residents to get together and share resources and help to create a sense of community at the property.

4) Supervision: The Resident Services Supervisor will hire, train, support and evaluate the Resident Services Coordinators and lead weekly supervision meetings. The Resident Services Supervisor will lead weekly activities with the Resident Services Coordinators as well. This position will also support the Resident Services Coordinators in appropriately handling difficult resident issues and effectively providing high quality after-school programs for youth.

5) Reporting: The Resident Services Supervisor will track and record data on residents’ participation in resident services and the impact of resident services and after school programming on residents. They will support their team in conducting annual evaluation of the services provided. This position will be responsible for preparing and submitting reports to program funders on a timely manner basis and completing HMIS entry and reporting, as required.

6) Other Responsibilities: In addition to the above, the Resident Services Supervisor will:

facilitate weekly team meetings with the youth services team,
attend Supportive Services department meetings monthly, and
perform other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient matter.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Proven experience effectively leading a team;
Ability to communicate and work effectively with youth, families and individuals from a variety of economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with varying physical and mental abilities, with diverse sexual orientations and gender identifies as well as physical and mental disabilities, substance abuse issues and complications of HIV/AIDS
Outstanding organizational, verbal and written communication skills;
Proficient Spanish speaker;
Ability to perform daily duties to achieve desired outcomes and performance measures with minimal supervision;
Ability to set and maintain boundaries with clients in a professional manner;
Ability to make good decisions in crisis situations;
Strong time management and organizational skills
Competency in use of personal computer, especially for word processing and generation of statistical information;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and
Ability to travel between housing sites and meetings multiple times during the week.

Minimum Requirements

BA degree in social work, human services or related field;
At least two years of experience delivering youth programs to a diverse group of youth;
Experience providing supportive services to individuals who have experienced trauma;
Experience working with people experiencing mental health issues, chemical health issues and homelessness; and
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time salaried (exempt) position. The work day will typically be between the hours of 9am and 6pm plus one evening until 8pm each week, with start times adjusted accordingly.

Pay and Benefits

Salary range is $44,000 to $48,000/ year and will be based on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, company paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance and 401(k) matching contribution.
