Spanish Translation Intern – Intercultural Student Experiences – Minneapolis, MN

Intercultural Student Experiences (ISE) seeks a Spanish Translation Intern for a project to be completed in April 2015. This position will work to transcribe interviews conducted in Spanish into writing, and also translate the text into English. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient or fluent in Spanish (including understanding spoken Spanish and maintaining correct spelling/grammar in writing). He or she should also be comfortable around technology and have an interest in cross-cultural programs or international education. ISE’s mission is to launch world language learners on lifelong journeys of connecting with other cultures. We carry out this mission through language immersion travel experiences abroad and international student hosting programs across the U.S. ISE’s offices are located in Minneapolis.

Responsibilities

Transcribing video interviews in Spanish into writing
Translating the same text into English

Qualifications

High proficiency or fluency in Spanish and English
Ability to transcribe spoken Spanish and translate into English
Comfortable around technology and computers
Interest in international education, languages, study abroad, etc.
Ability to work at least 10-15 hours/week in April 2015

This position is an unpaid internship and is supervised by the Marketing and Communications Manager.
