Description:
This position will assist the Student Care team as we provide administrative, organizational, and customer service support to about 2,000 university students who will be travelling this summer on one of ISV’s life-changing volunteer and adventure travel programs. This is our busiest time of year as we get the students ready for their departure dates in May, June, July and August. The Student Care Office Assistant will provide much needed assistance to the Student Care team by making customer service phone calls to students, data entry, auditing, filing, and more.

Responsibilities:
Making phone calls to students congratulating them on their acceptance to the ISV program and encouraging them to submit their deposit.
Making phone calls to students congratulating them on their allocation to a specific country and date, while informing them of their upcoming document and payment deadlines.
Making remider calls to students to submit their passport details, travel insurance details, medical forms, doctor’s notes, travel options forms, and final payments.
Entering participant and document details into the database with 100% accuracy.
Auditing the data entry of all participant documents and details.
Filing hardcopy participant documents.
Answering the phone and taking messages or answering basic questions about the program.
Requirements:
1 year minimum of office experience
1 year minimum of customer service experience
Associates degree
Excellent customer service skills
Must be comfortable making phone calls and talking to participants on the phone
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Strong records-keeping skills. Must be able to maintain a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
International travel experience
Experience working with university or high school age students
Volunteer experience
Experience working with a non-profit
Experience using databases, especially Microsoft Access database
Experience using a variety of other computer programs
Wage, Hours and Location:
Located at the ISV head office in Orange County, California
Projected start date: ASAP
Temporary full time position
Hourly wage of $11.00
