About this Role
The Student Recruitment Consultant will play a mission critical role for Collegiate Charter High School by working to fully enroll the school for the upcoming academic year. An independent contractor, this individual will work closely with the Executive Director and will plan and execute key deliverables for the school’s student recruitment and community outreach strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented relationship builder who wants to positively impact a historically underserved community by helping students access a rigorous and supportive college preparatory high school.
Scope of Work
Project management: Design, meticulously plan, and manage follow-through to completion of a comprehensive student recruitment and enrollment strategy with clear, time-sensitive deliverables between January and August 2016. Engage other key stakeholders in timely and high quality execution of this work.
Partnerships development: Develop and execute a robust strategy for building and leveraging relationships with partner organizations (other charter schools, local community organizations, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc.).
Boots on the ground: Calendar, organize, and lead community outreach days.
Prospective student and parent relations: Conduct outreach and follow-up calls with prospective parents. Manage a contacts database.
Events management: Plan, organize, and ensure strong execution of student recruitment and enrollment events.
Parent engagement: Work with Collegiate Charter High School’s existing parents to engage them in the new family recruitment process.
Social media: Develop and execute a robust social media strategy to leverage online marketing channels to increase awareness of and interest in the school.
Experience, Mind Sets, Skills, and Qualifications
Belief in the Collegiate Charter High School mission and educational model
Extremely strong project management skills
Ability to self-manage and dictate a schedule of activities appropriately aligned to project goals
Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
Ability to build relationships with students and parents
High level of personal organization and planning
Extremely strong follow-through and attention to detail
Team player: maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, relentless optimism, and a “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude
Adaptability and the patience to successfully navigate school start-up work
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
2+ years experience in a sales or community organizing role preferred
